Game: BiA Hells Highway

Well i've only played the Earned In Blood title before this one and it was the first game on the XBOX, and PC for that matter (other than Black) that i enjoyed so much that i could be sucked into finishing the entire game on all difficulties. I've got Hells Highway on my drive and since im already a fair way through the game i cant help but give it a nice score but as always ill point out the dislikes aswell as the likes but this time ill do it like this...

Likes:

Shooting feels so much better, shaking actually calms down after a lil bit and things stabilize

Familiar weapons that have been improved for ease of use and things are much more streamlined

A nice cover system that really dose what its supposed to do

Improved AI

Very Nice graphic detail

A rich and engaging story line, Ubisoft and Co have always managed to pull of an amazing story line that is just unmatched i think, very moving and very well explained, one of the very few WW2 FPS's that i will enjoy this year and in the years to come.

The Ability to jump in a Sherman and really do some damage, to literally go on a rampage in Hells Highway in a Sherman is fantastic, it feels more realistic (apart form inf ammo and fuel) in that a tank against a group of soldiers behind a sandbag aint gonna stop a shell from ripping them all a new arse! Whilst i felt they're brief I loved the tank missions!

Dislikes:

Sometimes my soldiers aren’t that smart but its improved dramatically from Earned In Blood

The US BAR doesn’t sound like it has much kick to it anymore, on EiB i used to enjoy running across a field to dive into cover behind a downed tree or a fence line all the while hearing that deep boom! boom! boom! from my BAR as im laying down additional suppressing fire.

Another weapons sound that seems to be off is the Springfield, i used to enjoy hearing it "ting" when out of ammo.. oh it still does that its just not as loud or as.. well not real, but appealing.

Shame there isnt a LAN Coop element to the game as it would have been so much fun not only campaign Coop but also tanks and all other sort of game play options, it would have been a classic for all time if this game had Coop, but since the single player is soo good im willing to overlook that :)

At the moment this is all i can think of but as you can see the likes heavily outweigh anything thats opposite and if you loved the previous two you will come to love this one, truly a fine trilogy Ubisoft and Co have tied off here, very well done!
